An initial discussion of the purpose and the materials of this seminar will be held on Apr 22, 2020, at 13:00 online using Jitsi (via Moodle).
Each participant will be asked to choose three papers from the reading list (which will be provided on Moodle shortly).Please send your list of choices (in order of preference) to the lecturer of this course no later than May 1, 2020.You will then be assigned to present one of your three chosen papers in the context of one or two block seminars to be scheduled in June. Exact dates will be arranged during the initial discussion. Depending on the situation in June, these seminars will be held in person at the university (location to be announced) or will happen on Jitsi.- Mittwoch 22.04. 13:00 - 14:30 Konferenzraum

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
This seminar is a companion event to lecture 300099 VO: "Beyond Networks." It aims at further developing foundational concepts of evolutionary systems biology, and provide insights into current research, through the study of primary literature in the field.Students will be assigned keystone research papers in the field of evolutionary systems biology during the initial discussion.Students will present their assigned paper (with relevant background) in an oral seminar.

50% oral presentation, 50% participation in discussions.
This seminar is an elective part of the Master Evolutionary Systems Biology, but is also open to other Master studies.The language of the seminar is English.
