Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

How has culture shaped our genes? In this lecture series, we will explore the concept of gene-culture coevolution. Starting with the theoretical foundation, including population genetics and culture theory, we will look into how culture influences populations, from peppered moths, lactose tolerance to primate brain size. Going beyond, we will look into how gene culture coevolution is studied and what makes this a rewarding (and challenging) research topic, which can even give insights into global health issues.
