300361 SE Humanethologisches Praktikum (2007S)

In this basic practical course students learn how to carry out a scientific project. They acquire skills in searching literature, developing scientific questions and hypotheses and finding the adequate methodology to answer these questions. They learn how to collect data, how to avoid problems in data collection and subsequent data analysis by setting up a suitable study design, and how to write a submittable manuscript. The core aim of this course is to provide the students with the basic tools of scientific work in the field of human ethology, by giving them the opportunity to learn by doing.
