Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Each participant will choose one topic (viz. a small scientific project) that she/he will then work on under the supervision of the contributing faculty staff in the respective working groups and labs. Please check http://ter.csb.univie.ac.at/mec-4 for details on the projects.
This course is aimed at giving all new MEC students, in particular, a first opportunity to participate in research hands on. Depending on the theme and the number of participants, students will either work individually, or in very small groups together.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Depending on the research topic, a written report and an oral presentation in a seminar that is organized at the end of the teaching period (Feb 2020)

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Active participation during the project work (70%) and final written report and oral presentation (30%)

Prüfungsstoff

Scientific lab work under direct supervision of faculty staff.
