Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
Inhalt der Vorlesung ist das Wechselspiel zwischen dem Verhalten der Tiere und ihrer Umwelt im evolutionären Kontext. Wie kann ein Verhalten als Ergebnis eines Selektionsprozesses verstanden werden, was macht Verhalten adaptiv? Themen aus den Bereichen der sensorischen Ökologie, Populationsbiologie, Kommunikation und des Fouragierverhaltens werden an Beispielen bei Amphibien und Insekten vertieft.

The aim of the lecture is to sketch the principles in studying animal behaviour from an ultimate perspective and to get an overview of the main topics and approaches in the field of behavioural ecology
