    Information

    Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

    Communicating science in English is a skill that must be learned, even by native English speakers. Participants in this course will gain confidence communicating in English in a scientific context through guided exercises in writing and speaking. Participants will also practice giving and receiving feedback. It is mainly targeted at those students whose native language is not English, but the course can also be taken by native speakers who would like to improve their skills.

    Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

    There will be no exam in this course.
    Evaluation will be based on:
    1) Attendance
    2) Written exercises
    3) Presentations

    Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

    To pass the course students must attend at least 75% of all classes, and complete at least 75% of all exercises. Some exercises will be done during class time, some should be completed at home. The completed exercises must include both written and oral tasks.

    Prüfungsstoff

    There will be no exam in this course.

    All required material can be obtained through the University library or will be provided.
