Content: The participants will review current methods to study immune responses and their regulation at the cellular and organismal level. The methods include the generation and use of transgenic animals in immunology (e.g. cre-based approaches, DT-mediated depletion, fate mapping), genome engineering & gene targeting in immunology, and imaging (2-photon, bioluminescence, NMR, CT, microfluidics).
Lectures by lecturers introducing methods and providing theoretical background. Presentations by students of key research papers employing the techniques discussed in the course.
