Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
The students will be introduced to basic principles in drug discovery. The course will consist of presentations given by the faculty, as well as presentations given by students, followed by round table discussions.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
There will be one written exam at the end of the course.
The grades will be deduced to 40% from the result in the written exam, to 30% from the quality of the oral presentations and 30 % from the active participation in the discussions during the course.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
The student should possess basic knowledge in principles of drug discovery. Topics will cover target identification and validation, structural biology, hit identification and validation, lead structure identification and optimization and hereby be able to understand and comprehensively and critically present original papers / projects /ideas to these topics.
