Course for the masters program in nutritional sciences, prerequisite: admission to the masters program in nutritional sciences.In case of inability to attend (no show), deregistration is essential, otherwise the course will be marked negatively. The seminar is registered as English course, all communication during the seminar (presentation, discussion) including administrative issues have to be in English!

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
The seminar on Human Nutrition is intended to discuss recent topics in nutritional sciences including the design of nutritional studies associated to diet related issues, the evaluation and interpretation of results from nutritional studies including statistical methodology, modern aspects of epigenetics, and the discussion of ongoing and recent large nutritional epidemiological studies. The seminar also provides an opportunity to practice presentation skills including scientific talks, design and layout of scientific presentations, and discussing controversial issues.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
Grades for the seminar are based on the abstract (10%), the scientific background of the presentation (50%), the style and format of the presentation (20%), the discussion (10%) and the performance as chair of the seminar (10%). The presence of all participants for all scheduled seminars is compulsory.
