340032 UE Hörkompetenz und Textproduktion: Englisch (2011W)

We'll listen to a variety of authentic texts, which are often quite difficult (so one of the key questions to examine is why English is unusually tricky as a listening language). You'll be expected to analyse and respond to these texts in a variety of ways. You may, on occasion, be subjected to "humour".

Priority will be given to students who have completed the "Grammatik" UE. Students without the "Grammatik" UE will only be taken if there are spare places.

Although the class size will be strictly limited to 30 students, I would encourage you to come along to the first class even if you're 83rd on the waiting list, since there are always drop-outs, and knowledge that there are indeed, say, 83 people on the waiting list is always valuable from my point of view.
