To become aware of and understand the needs of target groups and the impact that these have on text design and text writing. Further, to develop a personal style in dealing with different types of texts and genres (oral and written).CONTENT
The overarching theme for this course will be the archetypal Hero's Journey, as established by Joseph Campbell and presented in the film "Finding Joe" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8nFACrLxr0). We will look at different types of texts and speeches and their respective text patterns around this topic, with special attention to purpose, function and target groups. Please make sure you have watched this film and become acquainted with the topic before the course starts.METHODS
Assignments will be prepared individually and in groups.
