The objectives of this course are as follows:
- to help students gain a better - and more explicit - understanding of different text types (register, style, format, conventions, etc.);
- to help students apply this knowledge in practice (text analysis, written assignments);
- to raise students' awareness of writing processes.

Students will achieve the course objectives by:
- discussing texts in class and in Moodle forums;
- reading and analyzing difficult texts;
- carrying out various research tasks (e.g. text types, patterns and conventions);
- writing and adapting texts for different purposes (individually / in small groups).
