Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Introduction to selected topics in the history and the political, cultural and social life in the US and the UK. The aim is for students to gain an understanding of some key terms and debates in the field. Lecture in English.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Exam for Curriculum 2011 / Module 1 students: multiple-choice exam (in German) as part of Steop exam; exam for Curriculum 2011 / Module 3 and exchange students: written exam (open questions in English) at the end of the semester.; exam for Curriculum 2016 students: multiple-choice exam (in English) as part of Steop exam. No aids are permitted in these exams.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Pass grade for Steop exams: total module score of 60%; pass grade for module 3 exam: 60%.

Prüfungsstoff
