Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Seminar aimed at supporting the process of writing the master thesis. The language of the seminar and its assessment is English.

Completion of an internship/placement with an important focus on language services industry technologies is strongly recommended before joining this seminar group. In the absence of the internship/placement, evidence of familiarity with language technologies will be required at the beginning of the course.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Presentation of the planned MA project (30% of the final mark), seminar paper (50% of the final mark; the first chapter of the future MA dissertation), and continuous seminar attendance and active participation (20% of the final mark).

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Developing and showing the competence of knowing and applying the theoretical, practical, and methodological tools that are relevant for writing the master thesis in light of its topic. Producing a clear and achievable MA project plan which builds on current research and furthers it in an original manner.
