Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
Course objectives: developing reading comprehension strategies and reading-based writing skills. Students acquire text analysis methods that enable them to understand and discuss texts as communicative events. They improve the skills of reading comprehension and text-based writing, with a focus on exploring different types of meaning, organizing texts, and integrating sources. Methods include in-class reading and writing activities (individual, pair, and group work), online activities, home assignments in reading comprehension and text production.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
Assessment will be based on participation in class and in online activities (10%), mid-term test (20%), final test (30%), and writing assignments (40%). Students are allowed to use monolingual dictionaries during the tests.
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
Grading scale:
90-100%: 1
80-89%: 2
70-79%: 3
60-69%: 4
< 60%: 5 (fail)
Prüfungsstoff
Both tests will be based on the text types discussed and practiced in class and in the written assignments.
