Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
Starting from their own individual background and personal experience in English, students will work with, and write, various types of texts (e.g., reviews and revisions, texts for digital media) for target groups that include non-native readers of English.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
Participation in activities in class and on Fronter, written assignments, test in the course of the semester.
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
Exploring the characteristics of texts published in different varieties of English, as well as examining students' own style. Producing texts for international audiences that can, and may, be used for practical purposes.
Prüfungsstoff
Real-life transcultural settings will be created as contexts for the texts to be produced. Students will get feedback on the texts they write during the semester, group discussions of issues in connection with the assignments will be held.
