Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This course is open for all doctoral students. We will focus on epistemological and methodological issues that you have come across in your thesis work - or that you expect to encounter when working on your thesis. Depending on the participants' research areas, we may also choose particular theoretical perspectives.

Methoden: Discussion, group work, presentations, peer-reviews.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Beurteilungsmaßstab• Presentation of assignment: 15 credits• Written feedbacks: 30 credits• Written assignment (due July 5, 2021): 40 credits (the announced submission date is binding)• Participation in discussion and other tasks: 15 credits. Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

• Mandatory attendance. Students may miss class twice in a term (without valid excuse).• It is mandatory to upload the written assignments (concepts and peer-reviews).• Detailed feedback on at least two other concepts is mandatory.

Prüfungsstoff

Course material, including examples of published doctoral dissertations.

Literatur

The selection of literature will depend on the participants' research areas.
