Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
The participants present in the seminar 15-20 pages long papers containing either a chapter, an article draft, or a concept of their master's or doctoral thesis. The papers will be discussed in the seminar. The participants are also expected to write a short comment on each paper, to be submitted in the Moodle ahead of the class. Additionally, each participant is expected to function once as a moderator of the seminar paper presentation of another student.Given the limited amount of the meetings, doctoral students in the philosophy of science and cognitive sciences (broadly construed) are given a priority in attendance.The course takes place online as long as the Covid-19 crisis continues.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
The papers, written comments, moderation, and the participation in the class room discussion are assessed.
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
Seminar paper (15-20 pages).Regular participation and punctual appearance in the seminar.Written and oral comments to the work of others. The comments are expected to be both constructive and argumentative. Moderation of one paper presentation.Punctual submission of papers and written comments on them.
