Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Aims:
Modern science requires researchers to apply for fellowships, grants, and projects. Obtaining independent (third-party) financial support can not only pay for your research but also boost your CV. Writing successful grant applications is therefore a fundamental skill for astrophysicists. In this course we will explore which funding possibilities are available at national and international levels as well as discuss how to elaborate competitive projects.

Contents:
- Funding agencies in Austria and abroad
- Get an overview on the different funding schemes for Astrophysics
- Explore the different funding possibilities
- Learn how to write successful grant applications

Language:
- Lectures, events and discussions will be held in English

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Participants will be evaluated on their level of participating in the talks and discussions during the meeting.
