Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

The joint seminar aims to gain professional skills in elaborating, presenting, and reflecting critically on a selected research topic (e.g. PhD thesis). Hereby, Master students can take advantage of the experience of the PhDs and PhDs practice constructive feedback.

Students have to attend at least all sessions of their individual specialisation, but are invited to join sessions of other specialisations as well:

Geoecology:
14.10.2024
11.11.2024
09.12.2024
13.01.2025

ENGAGE:

11.11.2024

Digital Geography:

Cartography & Geoinformation:

Students have to bring a prepared 10min presentation of their project (e.g., thesis) to the first seminar and then prepare a 20min presentation for the second meeting based on feedback by the group and in-class activities. Similarly, Master students are invited to present their respective thesis, being it a rather conceptual presentation or a presentation including already achieved results. The MSc students will not only receive feed-back from the respective supervisor, but also from everybody attending the course, including PhD students.

All interested graduates, post-graduates, tutors, and teaching assistants are invited to participate.
