Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
The course aims to provide a broad overview of current tools and resources that can be used in different areas of Slavic studies. We will examine corpora for various Slavic languages and their functionality, lexical databases built on corpus data, parallel and poetic corpora, and historical databases. We will also look at digital editions of classical literature and literary databases and the benefits they offer researchers.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
During the course we will hold two colloquia in which we will discuss papers on the topic chosen by the students. At the end of the course, students will have to write an overview (essay) on the chosen topic in digital Slavic studies.
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
The final assessment is based on two criteria: class participation (0.5), essay (0.5).

The reading list will be announced after the first week and will be based on the background and research interests of the seminar participants.
