This course follows a continuous evaluation approach, where exercises, the project, and the final report will be assessed. Attendance in all classes is mandatory.
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
The final grade will be determined based on a combination of class exercises, including both individual and team projects, as well as the written protocol. Submitting the protocol is mandatory; failure to do so will result in failing the course.Evaluation scale:Below 50%: Grade 5
50% to less than 62.5%: Grade 4
62.5% to less than 75%: Grade 3
75% to less than 87.5%: Grade 2
87.5% or above: Grade 1
50% to less than 62.5%: Grade 4
62.5% to less than 75%: Grade 3
75% to less than 87.5%: Grade 2
87.5% or above: Grade 1
Prüfungsstoff
Upon completing this course, students should have a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts and methodologies in bioinformatics. They should be able to perform key bioinformatics tasks such as similarity searches, functional annotation, phylogenetic analysis, network analysis, and comparative genomics. In addition, students should also be able to interpret the results of their analyses, understanding their biological significance and recognising the limitations of the methods used.
