This semester we will mainly discuss strategies how to safely navigate through the publication /publishing jungle in life sciences, including
- how does one read and assess a paper in an efficient and reliable way
- what is a good paper
- how does peer review work
- what makes a presumably good journal
- which tools can be used to find and write good papers
