Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

In this course, we will guide you through developing your concept paper of your doctoral thesis as well as through preparing the presentation of your concept paper in the public presentation at the Faculty (FöP). The course is open to those doctoral students who are in the first stage of their doctoral thesis and wish to prepare for the FöP. Further details regarding course organization will be provided via Moodle.

Methoden: Discussion, group work, presentations, peer-reviews.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

• Presentation of concept: 15 credits
• Written feedbacks: 30 credits
• Written concept: 40 credits (the announced submission date is binding)
• Participation in discussion and other tasks: 15 credits. Other participation will be counted positively into the final assessment.

60 credits and the submission of the concept are needed to pass the course.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

• Mandatory attendance. Students may miss class twice in a term (without valid excuse).
• It is mandatory to upload the written assignments (concepts and peer-reviews).
• Detailed feedback on at least two other concepts is mandatory.

Beurteilungsmaßstab:
• Presentation of concept: 15 credits
• Written feedbacks: 30 credits
• Written concept: 40 credits (the announced submission date is binding)
• Participation in discussion and other tasks: 15 credits. Other participation will be counted positively into the final assessment.

60 credits and the submission of the concept are needed to pass the course.

2 (gut) 89-81 credits
3 (befriedigend) 80-71 credits
4 (genügend) 70-60 credits
5 (nicht genügend) 59-0 credits

Prüfungsstoff

Course material, including two completed and published doctoral theses and the concept papers of the other participants.

Literatur

Two completed and published dissertations will be provided for group tasks and discussion.
