Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This course is open for all doctoral students. We will focus on theoretical and methodological questions that you have come across in your thesis work - or that you expect to encounter when working on your thesis. While the first sessions will deal with more general issues in qualitative research (such as e. g. ethnography/fieldwork etc.), the latter sessions will be adapted according to the participants' research areas. Further details regarding course organization will be provided via Moodle.

Methoden: Discussion, group work, presentations, peer-reviews.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

• Presentation of assignment: 15 credits
• Written feedbacks: 30 credits
• Written assignment: 40 credits (the announced submission date is binding)
• Participation in discussion and other tasks: 15 credits. Other participation will be counted positively into the final assessment.

60 credits and the submission of the written assignment are needed to pass the course.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

• Mandatory attendance. Students may miss class twice in a term (without valid excuse).
• It is mandatory to upload the written assignments (concepts and peer-reviews).
• Detailed feedback on at least two other concepts is mandatory.

Beurteilungsmaßstab:
• Presentation of assignment: 15 credits
