Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This seminar offers students working on their PhD thesis the opportunity to present and discuss their projects related to the field of STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engeneerig, Mathematics), Household Economics and Nutrition, as well as Geography. It is also open for those who work on inter- and transdisciplinary research questions related to these subjects, for example: language-sensitive teaching in science education, Climate Change Education, Health Education etc. Topics may also include: Communication (e.g. Knowledge Transfer/Third Mission, Citizen Science) and Informal Learning (e. g. Teaching and Learning in Zoos, Botanical Gardens, Museums, National Parks, Science Centers) etc.

The goal is to jointly conceptually and methodologically analyze ongoing studies (from the proposal phase to the analysis and writing of manuscripts) or give advice for planning new studies. External researchers are planned to be invited for guest lectures. Class will start on October 10th 2023.

Aim of this seminar is to present and discuss ongoing Ph.D. theses. Methodological inputs, group discussions of actual publications and seminars of invited speakers will support the development of research questions, research designs and data analysis of the theses. Other important aims include facilitating the networking between young researchers and fostering interdisciplinary approaches.

Please feel free to contact Prof. Möller if you have any further questions regarding attendance or the suitability of your topic for our seminar.
