980013 TS Pitch perfect: Being engaging through skillful public speaking and networking (2024S)

We have done our research, collected lots of data, written papers, prepared posters we have a vast amount of knowledge and competences to offer. But how do we engage and captivate someone when we tell them our success story? And how do we follow up with pleasant yet focused networking to turn our academic achievements into meaningful future connections?

In this one-day workshop we explore the communication side of making ourselves an asset worth remembering, both in front of audiences as well as in individual conversation settings. We address both body and spoken language as tools to establish ourselves and make a memorable impression in public speaking and networking situations.
