130072 VO Minor Finnic languages of Ingria (language, sociolinguistics, fieldwork methods) (2013S)

The course gives the overview of the minor Finnic languages of Ingria: Votic, Ingrian and Ingrian dialect of Finnish. It includes analysis of both the sociolinguistic situation and phonetics/grammar structure of the languages (with some emphasis on the Votic language). The most important aspects of field research in Ingria will be discussed in the course.
