220011 VO VO Introduction to Media & Politics (2022W)

By the end of the course, students should be able to critically analyze the mechanisms of media policy-making and media governance and identify related scientific research areas for future research. The course aims to develop sophisticated understandings of the relationship between media, power relations and democracy as well as to gain in-depth knowledge of trends and debates on media policy and governance at the Austrian, European and global levels.
