Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The lecture is dedicated to different paradigms which formed and form theological ethical reflection and practice. By using historical and current examples, this course offers in-depth-studies to selected theological-ethical issues, which have been introduced by the Basic lecture course on Moral Theology.
Assessment and permitted materials
Oral or written exam.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The aims of this lecture course are to help develop a profound understanding of key issues of theological ethics and of their historical development, and to introduce some of the questions which are being discussed in scientific discourse on fundamental moral theology. In addition, the lecture course provides the opportunity to study and critically discuss the presented moral theological approaches.
Examination topics
Lecture, reading of passages of original texts and discussion.
Reading list
A bibliography regarding the theme of the lecture will be provided in each lecture.
