Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This Vorlesung mit Übung requires the VO Biblical Hebrew I. Building on the basic knowledge already acquired, it introduces the students to the more advanced Hebrew verbal and nominal studies and the basic rules of the ancient Hebrew syntax. The participants are instructed to independently analyze and translate simple texts of the Hebrew Bible with the help of dictionaries and paradigm tables.

Written course examination at the end of the semester. The length of the exam text is 3-4 verses (+ Grammar questions in case of module examination), which must be translated with a dictionary and paradigm tables in a period of 90 minutes. Attendance is compulsory (max. 2x absent without excuse). The final written examination is part of the permanent examination course and must be completed in summer semester 2022 (no separate registration or deregistration possible, no later dates).
The written exam (translation or translation + grammar questions for the module exam) has to achieve 20 points. For a positive assessment at least 10 points must be achieved. For every serious mistake, 1 point is deducted. In addition, at least 50% of the compulsory exercises must be successfully completed.
The overall grade is made up of 1/10 of the grades for the compulsory exercises and 5/10 of the grade of the final written examination.
Students in the expiring 2011 curriculum (Diplom Katholische Fachtheologie (011 [4] - Version 2011) - auslaufend) contact the course management at the beginning of the semester regarding the module examination .
