Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Regular attendance required (80%)
successful presentation to the topic chosen by you
active participation in the seminar course and in the discussions
written paper according to guidelines for scholarly citations
Assessment: 50% seminar paper, 25% presentation, 25% active participation in discussions.
All partial performances of the course have to show a positive grade for successful completion of the course.

Presentation on a topic chosen at the beginning of the course, combined with a handout or Power Point slides and detailed discussion; preparation of a written seminar paper; active participation.

Through the various presentation topics on liturgies, history, archaeology and culture in the regions to be visited in Italy, Spain and Portugal as well as on other Western non-Roman rites (e.g. religious rites, diocesan customs), a differentiated and in-depth insight into the liturgical diversity in the West and the respective contexts is to be provided. In addition, the seminar discussions should enable participants to engage in intercultural and ecumenical (as well as interreligious) dialog.
