Aims, contents and method of the course

Die Vorlesung bietet eine Einführung in die systematischen Ansätze einer philosophischen Anthropologie. Der erste Teil gibt einen groben Überblick über die philosophische Lehre in der Geschichte der europäischen Philosophie. Im zweiten Teil werden die bis heute andauernden die Debatten über Sinn und Möglichkeit einer "philosophischen Anthropologie", wie sie im 20. Jahrhundert vor allem von Max Scheler, Helmut Plessner und Arnold Gehlen entwickelt worden ist, dargestellt.
Vorblick: Im Aufbaukurs Philosophische Anthropologie (SS 2021) werden spezielle Themen der philosophischen Anthropologie vor dem Hintergrund gegenwärtiger wissenschaftlicher und gesellschaftlicher Herausforderungen beleuchtet.
Derzeit noch offen in welcher Form Vorlesung stattfinden wird. Derzeit noch offen ob und wieviel auch phsyisch vor Ort stattfindet. Voraussichtlich Mix aus online-Unterlagen (Audioaufnahmen, Texte, Manuskripte) und Diskussionsmöglichkeit alle 2-3 Wochen (online, evt optional auch vor Ort).

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral or written exam. The exam is usually held in German, although English and Spanish are possible, when needed.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

In order to pass the exam, sufficient expertise has to be proven, at least 50% of achievable points.
