Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course introduces the legal relationship between Church and State ("law on religion") and includes an introduction to basic questions of canon law: what is canon law anyway? how is the Catholic Church structured? what powers does the ecclesiastical magisterium claim? how is preaching regulated? how is the sacrament of baptism regulated, etc.?
For those who are not studying Catholic theology, basic concepts of ecclesiastical marriage law and the legal order of religious education are discussed.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Jede der drei Fragen muss mindestens zu 50 % richtig beantwortete werden, um eine positive Note zu erhalten.
Das Herstellen von Zusammenhängen ist ebenso wichtig wie der Erwerb von Wissen. Die Anwendung der korrekten kanonistischen Terminologie ist erforderlich.

Examination topics
