    Information

    Aims, contents and method of the course

    This course introduces the legal relationship between Church and State ("law on religion") and includes an introduction to basic questions of canon law: what is canon law anyway? how is the Catholic Church structured? what powers does the ecclesiastical magisterium claim? how is preaching regulated? how is the sacrament of baptism regulated, etc.?
    For those who are not studying Catholic theology, basic concepts of ecclesiastical marriage law and the legal order of religious education are discussed.

    Assessment and permitted materials

    Oral exam in person:
    15 minutes
    3 questions from the material covered in the entire lecture

    Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

    Each of the three questions must be answered correctly by at least 50% in order to receive a passing grade.
    Establishing connections is just as important as acquiring knowledge. The use of correct canonical terminology is required.

    Examination topics

    The exam covers the content of the lecture and the required reading.

Fachtheologie studieren, und für alle, die nicht Kath. Fachtheologie studieren. Die Pflichtlektüre wird im Moodle-Kurs als PDF-Dateien bereitgestellt.
