Aims, contents and method of the course

° Hinführung zum Phänomen antiken apokalyptischen Denkens
° Einleitung in die Offenbarung des Johannes unter historischem wie literarischem Aspekt (Aufbau, Gattung, Verfasserfrage, Ort und Zeit der Abfassung)
° Auslegung exemplarischer Stellen

Ziele:
Verstehen des antiken Phänomens apokalyptischen Denkens, der Entstehungsverhältnisse der Johannesoffenbarung sowie anhand exemplarischer Texte in ihre theologische Welt Einblick zu erhalten.

Methode:
Vorlesung (unterstützt durch Text- und Übersichtsblätter) Nach Grundinformationen v.a. Übersetzung und Auslegung wichtiger Texte auf griechisch Textbasis.

Oral Exam; 20 minutes; greek text: translation and interpretation

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Für eine positive Beurteilung ist die Fähigkeit zur Übersetzung des (in der VO besprochenen) griechischen Textes und die Beantwortung der interpretatorischen Fragen nachzuweisen. (vgl. auch oben zu "Art der Leistungskontrolle")
