Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture is dedicated to different paradigms which formed and form theological ethical reflection. By using historical examples, this course offers in-depth-studies to selected theological-ethical issues, which have been introduced by the basic lecture course on Moral Theology.
The prerequisite for this course is basic knowledge of ethics or theological ethics, as taught in the basic courses Theological Ethics I. If you have not attended them yet, but would like to take part in the lecture, please read the book by Gerhard Marschütz, Theologisch ethisch nachdenken, Vol. 1, or another introductory book into theological ethics first.

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral exam
During the oral exam, no means of aid are permitted. Students must be able to assign and interpret key texts in the history of theological ethics.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

A 50% of the exam questions needs to be answered correctly to pass the exam. Each answer will be graded, and an average grade will be awarded.

Examination topics

Examination material is the content presented in the lecture and in accompanying text reading.
