Aims, contents and method of the course
Dieses Seminar untersucht ausgewählte Themen in der Geschichte, Theologie und Liturgie der Christen in Jerusalem und Palästina von der Zeit Konstantins bis in die Gegenwart und wird auf Englisch angeboten.
Assessment and permitted materials
Presentation, 20%; Term Paper (Submission deadline: 21.01.2016), 50%; Discussion and active participation, 30%.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The seminar intends to expose students to an interdisciplinary approach to studying theology through primary sources, as well as to academic writing and discussion in English.
Examination topics
The main method of this seminar will be to read and discuss primary texts related to the various topics addressed in the seminar. Students will be required to read primary texts (and encouraged to read recommended secondary literature) in preparation for each seminar session, in order that they may contribute to the topics being discussed.
