successful completion of the npi-LV VO "Kommunikations- und Medienethik" (Prof. Dr. Alexander Filipovic). Registration for both courses takes place at the beginning of the semester. If you fail the VO exam or do not take it, you will automatically be deregistered from the exercise.Aims and content:
The exercise Media Ethics serves to enable you to independently and practically apply the knowledge acquired in the lecture "Communication and Media Ethics". The goal of the exercise is the mediation and acquisition of reflective and evaluative skills in the field of media ethics. The exercise is intended to enable you to recognize media ethical issues and challenges, to analyze them on the basis of ethical principles and to develop proposals for solutions. In addition, the exercise will contribute to deepening your knowledge of regulatory mechanisms, self-regulatory options, and ethical guidelines in the medie field. Ultimately, the exercise should help you to critically question and evaluate your own behavior in dealing with (social) media.Method:
The exercise consists predominantly of group work, which is carried out alongside the attendance times. Each group is assigned 3 tasks or mini-projects, which should be worked on in the course of the exercise. In each unit, the results of the tasks/mini-projects will be presented and discussed in small groups.Workload:
4 ECTS*25 real hours = 100 real hours, which are composed as follows:
Units (4*195 minutes) = 13 hrs.
Independent project work/group work = 72 h
Written project elaboration = 15 h
