Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
The examinations are oral (duration 15 minutes), consist of two independent parts of questions or topics and can be taken on the basis of the lecture topics as well as the substitute literature relevant to the examination. In addition, an oral examination can be taken in any consultation hour of the following semester against pre-registration via e-mail (wolfgang.treitler@univie.ac.at), the result will be added to the next officially announced examination date. Students must register for the official examination dates via U:Space and enter them in time lists on TEMPUS.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The oral exam consists of at least two independent questions or subject areas. A positive assessment of the examination is achieved if at least 50% of the respective questions or topics are presented or answered correctly; this rule applies to each individual question or topic; if one of them is below 50%, the overall examination is assessed negatively. – The examination performance is assessed as "sehr gut / very good" if the knowledge of the examination material clearly exceeds the average expected level of knowledge and if own, well based insights are brought in.
