Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

What do we mean when we speak about bodiliness? How can we interpret bodiliness from a Christian point of view? What impact does such an understanding have on how we approache practical ethical problems? In a first step, we will build up our understanding of bodiliness. In a second step, we will discuss special ethical topics chosen by the participants which deal with bodiliness.

Assessment and permitted materials

Presentation of paper, reading, active participation.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Knowledge of important phenomenological, biblical and theological-anthropological approaches to bodiliness. Capacity to apply these approaches to special ethical questions.

Examination topics

Reading, discussion, presentation of papers.
