Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This seminar will look at the future of the family from four angles: a theoretical one (i.e., What does ‘family’ signify?); a social one (i.e. What constitutes ‘family’ in contemporary society?); a personal one (How should the family benefit its members? How does it fall short?); and a theological one (What role do theological teachings play in family life? Is this role positive or negative? What theological challenges do contemporary conceptions of the family pose?). All four angles will be considered in depth.
