Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Luther’s hatred against Jews will be analyzed by reading one of his last writings, “Von den Juden und ihren Lügen”. By reading it and facing it with the main ideas of his theology one should come to know about the immediate connection between Luther’s theology and his hatred against Jews. This connection will also prove that anti-Semitism has been never in need of real Jews, but only of religious and cultural ideologies – a result research of anti-Semitism has been yielding.
TOPICS:
- Reading Luther’s late work “Von den Juden und ihren Lügen”
