Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Period for registration via u:space: September 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020.

The language course New Testament Greek, which spans the whole academic year (NTG I will be followed by NTG II and NTG III in the summer semester), serves as preparation for the Greek supplementary examination or alternatively as an alternative (compulsory) module.

Aims and contents
The transmission of basic knowledge of New Testament Koine Greek should enable students to independently translate New Testament texts in particular, with the aid of a dictionary and a grammar book.

Method
The subject is presented according to the structure of the textbook, with additional grammar handouts and supplementary grammar and translation exercises (in class or as homework) supported by "blended learning" with the help of the LMS "Moodle".

Assessment and permitted materials

Only the combined examination of New Testament Greek I-II (and III [supplementary examination]) may be taken. For further details see summer semester.
Upload of homework to Moodle as well as continuous and active participation (e.g., revision of grammar, study of vocabulary, preparation of translation texts) are expected.
