Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Within the present theological discourse the spiritual dimension of music is a rather neglected topic. This course aims therefore, firstly, at rediscovering forgotten aspects of the cultural memory: of musicological texts (from Late Antiquity, the Middle Ages, Early Modern, Modern and Post-Modern Era) on the one hand side; of music (from Gregorian Chant, Vocal Polyphony, Baroque, Romanticism up to contemporary pieces) on the other. Secondly, the question of the relevance of music for a spirituality of today has to be discussed thoroughly.

Aktive Teilnahme am Seminar, Seminararbeit, freiwillige Impulsreferate.
