Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The introductory is held in cooperation with the New Testament one but can be attended separetly. It is dealt with the specific historcial-critical approaches of the Old Testament. It introduces the plurality of present methods. The emphasis is on linguistic- structural approaches, literary exegesis and methods that achknowledge the horizon of the reader.
Assessment and permitted materials
Participation in class, homework, presentation, term paper
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Knowledge of the classic and present methods. Ability to write an exegesis of an biblical text applying relevant methods.
Examination topics
Discussion, groupwork, classwork on texts, homework, presentation.
