Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to exegetical questions concerning Matthew 1-2 and Luke 1-2, as well as some apocryphal infancy narratives; in-depth insight into historical-critical exegesis
Lecture with PowerPoint presentation and opportunity for questions

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral examination based on a Greek text discussed in the lecture.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Ability to translate and provide a historical-critical exegesis of a passage from Matthew 1-2 or Luke 1-2, knowledge of exegetical questions and research findings on the infancy narratives.

Examination topics

The exam covers everything presented in the lecture.
