Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of the lecture is to gain an insight into the historical genesis and argumentative structure of the fundamental Christian theological decisions from the time of the first five centuries (montheism; doctrine of creation; doctrine of the Trinity; Christology; doctrine of grace; ecclesiology) together with a look at the genesis of the biblical canon and the creeds - with which the contents are named.
In addition to the lecture, source texts and secondary literature on the moodle platform offer material for reworking and self-study.
The lecture is evaluated with 4 ECTS (1 ECTS = 25 h working time):
The attendance of the lecture (about 14 units of 1.5 h) or respective own reading results in (just) 1 ECTS.
The lecture is accompanied by further reading tasks (per unit/topic both source texts and secondary literature [about one essay of 10-20 p.)], which serve to deepen and secure what has been heard (about 3-4 h = 2 ECTS).
Exam preparation: 1 ECTS.
