Aims, contents and method of the course

The course elaborates the historical, social and theological conditions of the early Christian proclamation on the basis of Acts 13 and 14. One aim is to deepen the ability to work out historical reconstructions on the basis of literary sources. Secondly, the seminar aims to expand factual knowledge of the conditions of early Christian proclamation, especially in the context of current research discussions. And finally, it is also about practising the presentation and discussion of one's own research work.

Assessment and permitted materials

A presentation is to be given as part of the seminar. In addition, there will be compulsory readings and preparations of the Greek text of Acts 13-14, but also of other texts. And finally, a seminar paper will have to be written.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirements: Fulfillment of all required partial performances, regular attendance.
Assessment: preparation of the seminar sessions 30%, participation in the seminar 30%, presentation and essay 40%, each part must be positive.
