NB: Bitte bereiten Sie ein Handout Ihres Referats für die Kolleg/innen vor (Please create a printed summary of your report to hand out in class).

1) Briefly introduce the biographical context for the text:
a. For Freud, what was occurring in his life at the time of writing this text;
b. OR for other authors, give a very brief biography of this author including age, gender, nationality, primary field of study, history of scholarly career, and school of thought (e.g., philosophical, historical, clinical/theoretical, etc.)
2) Outline the text(s) you are presenting, paraphrasing the most important points in your own words with page references to the text(s). Define any key terms being introduced in this text. What is the main argument/thesis (or arguments)?
3) What is the importance of this author’s contribution to clinical theory and practice in its own time and context?
4) Conclude your presentation by discussing briefly any questions or critiques you would raise after reading and digesting this particular work, and any critiques that you can find in published works by other authors.
